Once in a lifetime daylight run on The Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line.
Due to a derailment at Noroton Heights, Connecticut and the subsequent never before seen placement of the engines in Stamford Yard, CSXT daylight local crew B749 was taxied from Croton, NY to Stamford, CT to retrieve the power.
The train is seen here westbound crossing The Hutchinson River Parkway in Mount Vernon, NY at 1305 hrs on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, in a daylight view that will probably never be seen again in my lifetime.
CSXT local B750 crosses this bridge daily, but always at night.
The derailment caused delays of 15 minutes along the line during the morning rush hour.
