The EB Norfolk Southern intermodal train from Chicago to Ayer, MA rolls thru CPF-499 at 9:41AM with a UP leader and 2 NS units trailing. The track to the left is the old Albany Main that now ends at Voorheesville. If you look closely at the control point electrical box you will see the old CPF-26 markings. The D&H called this DJ Cabin for Delanson Junction. It was initially renumbered as CPF-26 by Guilford (26 miles from Albany via the old Albany Main). Later Guilford changed all mileposts on the D&H Freight Main to reflect miles from the start of the MEC at Mattawamkeag, Maine and continuing miles via the B&M. So CPF-499 represents 499 miles from Mattawamkeag, Maine via MEC and BM.
