CP #5920 is caught just west of Downtown Rochester, MN. Despite the cold, the 2nd unit has its 'AC' on, although the cab is unoccupied. A paper trail, stuck to the 2nd unit's lead truck suggests that the door was left open to 'freshen up' the cab. The small wood trestle, built by the C&NW long before it was DM&E, is a common sight spanning the numerous creeks in this part of the country. A 10mph slow order, in effect since the CP takeover of this former DM&E line makes chasing easy. ON the hillside above the 3rd unit, is the historic Assisi Heights Convent, still in use today.
