2-4-2 "K 88" named WASHINGTON of "The Plains Vintage Railways" was built in 1877 by Rogers Locomotive Works in Paterson, New Jersey. The colorful steamlocomotive hauled the first train between Christchurch and Dunedin on New Zealands south island.
