The Mason City local has just stopped for the diamond at Lyle with the CN's Osage Sub. This diamond has given the IC&E alot of problems over the past few years with derailments, as you can see why. Plans are in the works to take this diamond out and put 2 switches in to allow the CN to cross the Owatonna Sub. The track on the left is the Owatonna Sub to Mason City, the track in the middle is the CN-IC&E interchange track, and the track on the far right is the CN Osage Sub.
