Remarks & Notes
Felling Down Snaefell. Snaefell Mountain Railway vestibuled saloon 5 is seen approaching The Bungalow as it descends the line's namesake mountain. The railway uses a Fell Incline Railway System center rail for emergency braking capability as it descends grades up to 10% from the summit down to Laxey. The railway is now the only operating railway to use the Fell system, as other installations in France, Brazil, and New Zealand have either ceased operations or have had the Fell system removed.
