| Battery Loco By The Bridge. MTA NYCT Subway HL002 R-255/Wabtec WAB6HYB, is a 675hp hybrid battery work locomotive designed for the demands and clearances of the New York City Subway system. For this move on Sunday, August 11, 2024, it was paired R-156/Wabtec-MPI MP8AC-3 OL925 as it traveled the system. Two of these new locomotives are now on the property of an anticipated total of 25 under the R-255 contract. The train is seen approaching the Whitlock Avenue Station with the Amtrak Bronx Bascules Bridge in teh background. |
