Remarks & Notes
The KLW SE24B is a low-emissions diesel switcher locomotive built by Knoxville Locomotive Works, powered by a single MTU Series 4000 12V R54 (TIER 3) diesel engine which develops a total power output of 2,400 horsepower (1,790 kW). California's San Joaquin Valley Railroad, a Class III shortline, has six of these locomotives on their roster, numbered SJVR 2405 to 2510. Sitting in the railroad's Fresno Yard is a recently arrived freight with SE24B 2405 on the headend, teamed with GP40 (rebuilt into a "GP38-3") 2085 and SE24B 2409 … most wearing some "adornment" to their paint jobs.
