Remarks & Notes
IC 830 of the IC81 line from Romanshorn via Weinfelden-Frauenfeld-Winterthur-Zurich-Bern-Thun-Spiez to Interlaken Ost, leaving Winterthur with the striking Neumühle grain silo in the background. The train has a total of 3 working Re 460 locomotives with a total power of 18300 kW. In the lead is Re 460 # 012, followed by a reinforcement module of 4 coaches (3 first class EW IV and one second class Bpm). Then follows the Re 460 # 015, which is in front of the driving trailer of the double-decker push-pull train, probably because the driver's cab of the driving trailer has a defect, e.g. train protection. At the very end of the “IC2000” shuttle train with 9 coaches including a dining car is the Re 460 # 110. The Neumühle silo in Töss was built in 1940 and has a capacity of 5000 tons of wheat grain. It is a landmark of Winterthur as you enter the city from Zurich. It used to have a railway siding, but today the grain is transported in and out by road. While I was waiting for the train, a load of grain had just been delivered,
