Space Switcher.
Launch Complex 26 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station is home to numerous pieces of space exploration history in the care of the Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum, one of which is United States Air Force SW8 locomotive no. 2021. The locomotive was one of two that transported Titan rockets around the Integrate-Transfer-Launch (ITL) facility, along the facility's 19.9-mile double track railway. A locomotive operated on each track of the railway; the large arm on the side of 2021 here featured MU and air connections, allowing adjacent locomotives to be operated as one. The locomotive supported 82 Titan launches from 1965 - 2005, after which it was serviced for display and restored by the Kennedy Space Center Locomotive Shop and placed on display at the museum - resting on rails from the ITL complex it once served.
