Slowly grinding up the grade of the Crookton Cutoff at Williams, BNSF 6193 leads a Barstow, CA to Galesburg, IL manifest train up the 1% grade. With the wind howling, the Seligman Sub East Dispatcher would begin giving out high wind warnings for the area with guest up to 75 MPH. This resulted in all of the trains within the limits of the warnings to stop. This BARGAL was stopped just short of the end of the limits when the warning was announced over the radio. With only a couple of hours left before the crew would go "dead on the law", the Chief Dispatcher gave permission to the crew of the train to proceed out of the limits at 20 MPH, if the crew felt safe to do so. They crew ended up get a relief crew at Bellemont.
