A fate worse than death? Maybe not but life was hard for an old unit on BS&G's makeshift railroads. One of the last truly ragtag old southern operations. Ramshackle "Snaptrack" laid on the ground carried trains of retired ore cars out to the sand pits, rocking, rattling and rolling. Beat up old units were in charge.
