Buffalo Summer. Amtrak Train 63 makes a nice appearance next to Interstate 190 with the skyline of Buffalo, New York in the background on the sunny early afternoon of June 29, 2022. Amtrak 108 (P42DC, Phase VI, 50th Anniversary) makes for a colorful leader as the train heads towards Niagara Falls, New York before crossing the border and ending its day in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. While there are some new buildings in the photo that have been constructed in recent years, downtown Buffalo has had a number of tall buildings for decades. This locomotive was one of six locomotives painted or wrapped in a special paint scheme for the 50th Anniversary of Amtrak in 2021. While it can run anywhere in the Unites States and Canada that Amtrak operates, it is usually found in the northeast US as it is equipped with all of the necessary PTC related equipment.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
