Don't hate me because I'm beautiful. With the exception of the special 1776, the last time the CSXT 1700 series rang out over the radio in this region would have also been a rebuild series locomotive, and they were widely loved. #1713 appears to be ex-SD40-2 #8004 (once a local staple) and the "class" unit in this new series, sitting in numerical sequence above the more traditional SD40E3 units that are practically in captive yard service far & away from the Sunshine State. This, as far as I know, is only the second "new" 1700 to come down to Central Florida, with the last one being in 2018 or thereabouts. More noteworthy is the fact that the TEG1/W001 set has lost the 6025 somewhere along the line. When was the last time THAT happened? Here, the train has come over to Auburndale from Tampa and is running along the Can Yard, where they will spend the weekend. Now, let's talk about how these units sound....
