The Great Northern comes to life on the Osceola & St. Croix Valley Ry. based in Osceola, WI, featuring a restored 1916 era Soo Line depot on the former Soo mainline between Minneapolis & Sault Ste. Marie, ON. The trackage is now owned by CN and reaches a Dresser, WI ballast pit. The equipment is owned by the Minnesota Transportation Museum and GN 325 received its original colors earlier this year. It had been in BN paint. GN was a long hood front railroad through their order for GP20s. They went low hood and short hood front with the GP30. This long hood view would have been a rare if ever occurrence on a real GN passenger train, but fun to see at least once.
