Minutes before the sun peeks over the top of the ridge, a westbound loaded BNSF coal load approaches the signals at the west end of Tolland. Traditionally, coal loads on the Moffat head east. However, BNSF has a coal contract in Valmy, NV, and hauls coal from the Powder River Basin west over the Moffat.
