The ground literally shook here with each revolution of the driving wheels, as No. 2102 headed upgrade toward Tamaqua and beyond with the first fall foliage excursion of 2023. The ground vibration was similar to what you got at Esbenshade crossing with the NW 611 working upgrade- giving one a living demonstration of a large 4-8-4's dynamic augment, or hammer blow. Baldwin/PRR's split design (the 4-4-4-4 PRR T1,) with lighter counterweights and rods, one would assume, pounded the rails to a lesser extent. Perhaps we will be able to test that assumption someday- when the PRR 5550 makes its debut.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
