The sun is just cresting the tall granite bluffs at Stralak as 118 skirts picturesque Straight Lake, really struggling up the grade at a crawl speed. This is a shot I've wanted to get for years after multiple failed attempts. It can only be done in the early morning hours during the long days of summer, add in a remote location, long hike and climb, unrelenting black flies, and eastbounds that are tricky to time out of Chapleau.
