Dwarfed by an interestingly designed apartment complex, Amtrak's Capitol Limited cruises through Gaithersburg, MD without an ALC-42 Charger in sight. "The Crossings," which was constructed in 2016. Originally in 1947, Gaithersburg Lumber and Supply Company was constructed in the vicinity of that lot, it was frequently served by the railroad until it was demolished in 1985. Gaithersburg Lumber then moved to the other side of the Route 355 bridge and is now called Barrons Lumber. From the time up until "The Crossings" went under construction, it remained a vacant lot.
Lots of acton one of the busiest - and fastest - sections of the Northeast Corridor plus the Capitol Limited going through Harpers Ferry, Sand Patch Tunnel and more.
