A Moment In Westernport. On the morning of Monday, June 21, 2021, former Western Maryland EMDs WM 7471 (SD40, 8/1966) and WM 7436 (SD35, 12/1964) were photographed during the short time that they were parked next to Victory Post Road/Route 36 in Westernport, Maryland. The engines were last used by the Georges Creek Railway several years prior and stored at a nearby location when the railroad ceased moving traffic. They had already been purchased by Precision Locomotive Leasing (PNLX) for reactivation, and both have since moved on to active status at other locations, though the Georges Creek remains inactive.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
