When It Was Red. On the early morning of August 15, 2020, very recently repainted Reading and Northern Railroad 5018 (ex-CSX 8507, née-SBD 8507 SD50, 1/1983)) was on display at the railroad's Jim Thorpe. Pennsylvania station. Then announced as the idea of ownership, management, and employees, it was planned for all four of the former CSXT SD50s to receive the same paint. Subsequently, the railroad decided that RBMN 5019 would receive similar paint, but with black replacing the red, and ultimately this unit was repainted in the same scheme.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
