Now we're cooking with gas....so as I was saying, #103 is currently "the" job to get on FEC, especially when it's late, as is the case today. This is actually the second take with the 720/709 as Hurricane Nicole had them stranded in Jax for a day, but they made a quick round trip to get out of the way. (The train was sent to NSB as an extra about 12 hours prior, set to be picked up today) The two GE are going to be dropped in NSB and then they will pick up enough cars from the previous #103 to bring the train to a whopping 16K feet...the initial stop alone had them stretched out beyond this point for a while, then they pulled the entire train south, backing in what they would normally drop for NSB & Titusville where they pulled the pickup. Left with three SD40-2 leading a still-hefty train south. Just like old times.
