A sunrise look at the famed 'last semaphore' at MP 706. Now gone, these two signals were the easternmost blades on the Raton Subdivision for years. A favorite hangout for years by rail photographers, they even made it into the cover of the 2020 edition of the General Code of Operating Rules, The GCOR. Now gone and replaced with a tri-light mounted bungalow, these signals back in 2020 lived to see another sunrise.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
