Norfolk Southern AC44C6M 4368 (ex-NS Dash 9-40CW 9104) is teamed with NS Dash 9-44CW 9806 as this train's rear Distributed Power Units, with BNSF ES44AC 5989 and Canadian Pacific ES44AC 8749 up front. A fresh crew is aboard the head-end and is checking the connection with the two DPU units before departing for McCook, just eleven miles ahead, and another crew change as this train transitions from BNSF Railway's Hastings Sub to the Akron Sub, with a time change, from Central Time to Mountain Time, in the process as well.
