Butter Dish Car. Borden Milk Tank Car BFIX 520 was part of a streamlined art deco style 35 car order built by Merchants Despatch Transportation Company in 1935 to carry 6000 gallons of milk in a pair of 3000 gallon tanks. After serving this purpose for decades, it ended its career transporting chemicals for a glue company. In 1991, it came to the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois, and was restored in 2012. It is the sole survivor of this type.
