A pair of Milwaukee Road EMD GP40s power Soo Line train 243 at Duplainville, Wisconsin, on the afternoon of April 12, 1987. The eastbound train is making a set out on the old Soo Line siding using the connection track from the former Milwaukee main to Soo’s main at Duplainville crossing. At this point in history, Soo Line owns both lines after acquiring Milwaukee Road in 1986. In October 1987, the former Soo Line main which the train diverging from will become the property of Wisconsin Central.
