For two weeks, the regular used cogwheel railcar BDeh 3/6 # 25 of the Rorschach-Heiden-Bergbahn (RHB), part of the Appenzeller Bahnen (AB) nowadays, was in a revision. So the "oldtimer" ABDeh 2/4 # 24 (BDeh 2/4) was in daily service. This cogwheel railcar was built in 1967 by SLM and BBC and has a maximum velocity of 25 km/h only, the BDeh 3/6 # 25 is climbing the mountain with up to 35 km/h. So the timetable was adjusted for two weeks with slightly longer travel times. ABDeh 2/4 # 24 has no longer first class (since 1998), but still this designation and the yellow stripe above the former first class compartment. It is running up from Rorschach to Heiden on a grade of about 9.0 % below Wartensee stop as train 31127 of the S 25 line. In the background is the Bodensee (Lake Constance) with Germany on the opposite shore, and Altenrhein (StadlerRail works and other industry) on this side.
