A Really Light Engine. Batten Kill Railroad's 4116 (Also RS-3) was crossing the south leg of the wye over State Route 22 in Salem, New York on the late afternoon of November 23, 2021. With the extremely long shadows of the late autumn sun, the photographer's shadow appears in the photo. A little switching at the Cargill facility in Salem was the order of the afternoon, and just like that 4116 was off to tie down for the night.
