A young fisherman casts his line into the Batiquitos Lagoon as Coaster train 656 crosses the trestle over the lagoon as it heads south to San Diego. Coast commuter trains, operated by the North County Transit District, connects Oceanside, in the northern part of San Diego County, with downtown San Diego. Train 656 consists of five Bombardier bilevel commuter cars, in a mix of old and new schemes (plus a wrapped car advertising Penn State), with cab car 2308 leading, and a fairly new Siemens SC-44 "Charger" locomotive, NCTC 5003, shoving on the rear.
