With showers building fast to the North, Canadian Pacific's F13 was staying a step ahead on October 18, 2021. Making its twice-weekly run out of Hermon, Maine, the train had reached MP14 and the base of Mosquito Mountain in Frankfort about ten minutes ahead of the rain. Even this far into foliage time, nearby oaks were showing their stuff alongside the two colorful GP20ECOs that were leading their short train to Searsport. It's cool to think that tidewater marshes are about 1000ft to the right while the granite face of 570ft Mosquito Mountain is less than that distance to the left!
