Some Assembly Required: As a companion to the much rarer and more significant H-16-66 acquired by the TVRM, TVA Alco switcher #F3061 also needed to be disassembled so it could be trucked across the state from Gallatin to Chattanooga. Since it is a relatively common diesel in relation to its stablemate, however, its reassembly has not been prioritized like the "Baby Trainmaster" was. This provided a unique opportunity for museum guests to see details that are not usually on display - such as the draft gear and truck mounts. As a mechanical engineer, I found it quite fascinating.
