After a wild day of running around in Rockingham County, I get a message from a buddy of mine, asking if I wanted to go shoot a Westbound on the BB. With nothing better to do with my evening we hurried South to West LaGrange on the former C&O (now Buckingham Branch) North Mountain Subdivision. With sunset approaching quickly, we hurried up and waited for a short while. 20 or so minutes later, and a distant horn was heard. We were ready, as the crew called the signal at East LaGrange. The trio of GE's smoke it up as they climbed uphill out of Staunton, and couldn't have made any better time as just moments after the end of the train went by, the sun fell back below the tree line, ending a rather long day out and about.
