The Elwood Joliet & Southern Railway has a pair of Webb Asset Management locomotives on the property: GP35 3509 and GP50 5011. Reclassed as a GP38-MEP, WAMX 5011 was built in August 1980 as Chicago & North Western GP50 5092. It later became Union Pacific 5537 when the C&NW was acquired by the UP in 1995, and was later sold to First Union Rail Leasing as FURX 2942 before going to Webb Asset Management. The EJS has added their logo, complete with their slogan (The Phoenix Line) to this engine. (Crest Hill, Illinois – September 26, 2021) Photographed on railroad property with permission and full PPE and Covid precautions.
