A pair of BNSF trains are occupying two departure tracks in Union Pacific’s West Colton Yard. BNSF H-WCLBAR1-04, a manifest freight with some coal loads up front, behind ET44C4 3682, sits next to another manifest, BNSF H-WCLBAR1-03, led by BNSF ET44C4 3723. These two trains will head east to Barstow once back on home rails. (The two trainmen in the orange safety vests are BNSF employees – BNSF utilizes orange vests, while UP employees wear yellow vests.) Two tracks to the right is a Union Pacific freight, UP MWCLB-04, with SD70M 3937 up front. That train is headed for Long Beach, and will therefore circumnavigate the balloon track at the yard's east end, turn 180º and head west. (Colton, California – July 4, 2021)
