119’s train twists and turns through the big granite rocks south of Romford carving its way through the Canadian shield. This view 20 years ago looked like something out of the moon or as a friend said, reminded him of Chile, with virtually no greenery or foliage at that time. Since then, the heavy mining activity in the area has adopted more environmentally friendly practices and this scene, along with many others around Sudbury, is looking much more alive these days.
