There is a tradition in Russia to launch victory steam trains on the day of victory in World War II. In this year such trains have traveled throughout the all vast Russia.
This retro train (on the North Caucasian railway) turned out to be the most authentic: it consisted of simple railcars, a platform with historical military equipment and a saloon car, which housed a mobile exhibition dedicated to the work of the North Caucasus Railways during the war years. Well, the Victory train was driven by a unique pre-war steam locomotive, handsome FD-2109, built in 1938.
