This was the annual CSXT Charity Train, a dinner excursion that ran to benefit the YMCA of Waycross at the behest of CEO Michael Ward. The run typically occurred in April, May or June on a Saturday and began on the FEC at Prime Osborn Center, which isn't too far from the CSXT HQ building downtown. (The final run, in 2017, was pushed up to March ahead of a transition in management) Pulling today is CSXT #9998, which was later rebuilt by CAD Montreal in 2019 then became CSXT1 in the "retro B&O" style scheme to match the repainted office car fleet. Trailing is #9999 which, at the time, had the modified paint more in line with then-current marketing. In June 2021, #9999 was assigned to the W003 Geometry train while its own motor went in for assessment.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
