In the world of railroad photography, the D&H Red Rocks shot at Willsboro Bay is among the most coveted in the Northeast.
One can get this shot by hiking in a couple of miles along the tracks which is not the best option for obvious reasons, by shooting across the mile wide Willsboro bay with a long zoom lens, by flying a drone way across the bay which takes some nerve and is chancy at best or by boating across. Today I chose to boat across and launch the drone from the boat which offers the least amount of risk.
Here is Canadian Pacific train 252 on a perfect, still June morning on Lake Champlain with the CP 8923, CP 8948 and CP 2229.
