A full moon rises in the eastern sky over a pair of Union Pacific GP60s. These four-axle locomotives were built in 1989 as hot power for intermodal trains, but these days they are assigned to locals – in this case, those that originate in the railroad’s West Anaheim Yard. UP 1083 is ex-UP 1953; née-SSW 9651, and UP 1105 is ex-UP 1950, née-SSW 9648. (Anaheim California – March 29, 2021)
