The Liberty, Panhandle, Smithfield Street, Fort Pitt and West End bridges are an audience of steel over the choppy waters of the Monongahela and Ohio Waters to the breathtaking complement of colors the universe has to offer us here on earth during the last solar hours of the day. Lapping water from the Mon, a car honk here and there, roaring engines of former Pennsy and P&LE trains now NS and CSX along the banks go up and down the river, laughter and conversation from friends and couples behind and the sound of steel on steel from the T (Pittsburgh Light Rail) surrounded and supported by steel add to the aurora of another magical night in the great city of Pittsburgh PA.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
