Tacoma Rail's Hill job is on it's way to Fredrickson. This trip the crew has 14,600 horsepower to lug the 15 cars up the 3.65% grade that awaits them once they leave Sound Transits Lakewood Sub. For the mile and half (or so) of the Lakewood Sub that is necessary to connect to the Tacoma Rail Mountain Division, they run under PTC and the authority of a BNSF dispatcher. This was once Tacoma Rails property and before that the Milwaukee Road. That's the brief and incomplete ownership history.
