The seldom-shot Cumberland Mine coal shuttle heads back into the mine at Kirby to load up their train with coal. This 17 mile railroad, completely isolated from the national rail network, was developed in the 70s by US Steel to connect the mine with a barge-loading terminal on the Monongahela River.
