Enroute to its destination of Glenn Yard, an afternoon running R967 waits for the signal to proceed west at Corwith. Powering the train today is a classic pair of Grand Trunk GP38-2's, the leader being the last GTW unit to wear Operation Lifesaver decals. Afternoon running westbounds are uncommon on this portion of the CN Joliet Sub (former GM&O), but after the original crew ran out of time further north of Chicago, we were treated to some nice light. We're just over a week away from the first day of Fall, but some sunflowers are still hanging on!
