To this point, maintaining it's flagship identity, VIA's Canadian, still running on CPR track with CPR stainless equipment and lead by CPR 4069 crosses the West Toronto diamond only a few miles from it's final destination at Toronto Union. Operating as No. 2 from Vancouver, BC No. 12 was split from No. 2 at Sudbury which continued on to Montreal. No. 12 came south from Sudbury on the Cartier, Parry Sound and Mactier Subdivisions and her takes to the CPR Galt sub until it reaches the Toronto Terminals.
