In Eritrea, a few Russian Ural 375-D trucks that have been built in the Soviet Union in the 60’s and 70’s have been converted to run on rail wheels. They have been used in the Eritrean railway reconstruction after the war with Ethiopia. On the back side of the Eritrean 10 Nakfa banknote, one of the Ural rail trucks is shown crossing the Moncullo viaduct with a freight train. These funny vehicles were still in service in 2012 for the line maintenance and to transport various goods. These 4-wheel rail trucks are mounted on a FIAT "Littorina" railcar bogie. By the way, your bed is ready for the night, Sir!!
