Amtrak's first brand-new Acela trainset is on the way to Pueblo! The special move is seen rolling through Tifft Street having just completed a crew change and departed downtown Buffalo. This move began at 8:30AM at Alstom's plant in Hornell, NY, where the trainset was built. From there the train proceeded up NS' Southern Tier to Buffalo, where it switched onto CSX to continue to Chicago. In another few days the set will arrive at Pueblo where testing can begin. Hopefully these sets will soon be plying the North East Corridor, and will usher in a new era of North American high speed rail.
