On the afternoon of April 28, 2018, BNSF Railway train M-BARKAI1-28A heads west on Metrolink's San Gabriel Subdivision (formerly Santa Fe's Second District) passes under the Union Pacific's Mojave Subdivision (the former Southern Pacific "Palmdale Cutoff"). This train transferred from the BNSF's Cajon Sub in San Bernardino to Metrolink's line to Los Angeles in order to complete its journey from Barstow to Kaiser Yard in Fontana. Following the three lead ES44DCs (7755, 7717, 7701) are a pair of GP60Ms (155 and 119) which, after arrival, will be working on locals originating in Kaiser. On the rear are two more diesels - BNSF ES44DC 7722 and BNSF ET44C4 3751. BNSF 3751 must've gone through an extensive restoration, as it looks nothing like it did when built in 1927 as Santa Fe 4-8-4 3751! It looks more like a GE than a Baldwin now. (And, yes, I am fully aware that ATSF 3751 and BNSF 3751 are not the same locomotive.)
