Dwarfed by the massive Farmland Service Co-op grain elevator in Gothenburg, Nebraska, is the engine that services it - M. Ryan Railway Service Contractors "SD20" 1021. Built in January 1960 as Southern Railway SD24 6315, this six-axle engine was purchased by Illinois Central and rebuilt into "SD20" 2021. IC eventually sold it off to the Missouri & Northern Arkansas, which subtracted one-thousand from the roadnumber, changing it to 1021. When the MNA deemed it surplus, it was sold to MJRX, which did not renumber the engine. (August 19, 2017)
