Fortunately, we had received permission to be here along the Texas State Railroad ROW during a Lerro Productions charter. In return, the landowners asked for a few family portraits which our charter organizer, Pete Lerro, provided. Railfans being railfans - the entire photo line was all too happy to assist! All in good fun! Above the ranchers is Texas State Railroad's 2-8-2 No. 30, bulit in 1917, backdated in her original Tremont & Gulf Railway livery. The concrete bridge was constructed in 1980, replacing an earlier timber trestle first built in 1908 by state prison convicts.
