July 4th marked what could well be the final trek of Canadian Pacific SD40-2s on the Vermont Rail System trackage. Each year multiple CP ballast trains are loaded by Barrett's in Burlington, Vermont and the CP power typically accompanies the train as a solid set to Burlington from Whitehall, NY. On July 4, the final loaded train is seen with CP multi-Mark SD40-2 6067 leading dual flag 6017 and action red 6080, with GMTX GP38-2s 2674, 2663 and 2215 along with the 40 loaded ballast and 20 freight, along the Otter Creek and winding through the 'downtown tunnels'.
